Yankuba Touray, a former member of the AFPRC Junta, has been charged with murder over the death of former Finance Minister Koro Ceesay.

The former minister of Local Government and Lands in the Jammeh regime was arraigned before the High Court on Monday July 1 where the state filed a case of murder against him.

According to the case file (the particulars of offence) “Yankuba Touray sometime in the month of June 1995 at Kololi in the West Region of the Gambia within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court with malice aforethought caused the death of one Ousman Koro Ceesay by beating him with a pestle-like object and other dangerous weapons thereby committing an offence.”
