President Adama Barrow has handed over ambulances to the people of Nuimi and Jokadu districts as part of his ongoing nationwide tour.

The handover followed the laying of foundation stones for 255 kilometres of road projects in the two districts.

The government said the provision of the ambulances forms part of its efforts to strengthen healthcare services and improve access to essential services in rural communities.

Speaking at a joint meeting in Kuntaya, President Barrow highlighted developments in Nuimi and Jokadu under his administration, contrasting them with challenges previously faced by the communities.

He cited the construction of the Hakalamg road, the delivery of health infrastructure, construction of schools, provision of agricultural inputs to farmers, and the expansion of access to clean water and electricity among the developments undertaken in the two districts.
