President Adama Barrow will deliver a national address on Wednesday (May 14) in response to growing public concern over the sale of assets linked to former President Yahya Jammeh.
The announcement follows an emergency cabinet meeting convened by the president on Tuesday, amid mounting pressure from civil society and days of street protests demanding transparency and accountability in the handling of the seized assets.

A statement from the State House confirmed: “His Excellency, the President, will subsequently address the nation tomorrow, March 14, 2025, on the matter.”
Public scrutiny intensified following an investigative report by The Republic, which raised questions about the process and beneficiaries of the asset sales.
