Gina Bass has been knocked out of the women’s 100m at the semi-final stage of the Tokyo Olympics.

Bass ran in the semi-final heats and recorded a time of 11.16

Jamaican world champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce won Bass heats with Mujinga Kambundji taking the second automatic qualifying place.

The 26-year-old and her coach will now focus their attentions on the 200m. 

The heats and semi-final are on Monday and the final will be run on Tuesday.
