At least eight people have been arrested in a dispute between Basori and Duwasu villages.

The incident which is believed to have started on Sunday had continued to Monday.

Police spokesman Lamin Njie told Gambiana:”We can confirm the incident of land dispute between the people of Basori and Duwasu villages on the 21st February 2021.”

He said structures on the disputed land were demolished by certain individuals from Basori village.

“So far eight people have been arrested and they are currently helping the police in their investigations,” he added.
