Slovan Bratislava CEO Ivan Kmotrík Jr. has expressed his delight following the club’s acquisition of Gambian winger Suleiman Camara, describing the 24-year-old as a player with immense potential and qualities that will strengthen the Slovak champions’ attack.

“We have followed Suleiman Camara for a long time and we see potential in him also towards the future. He’s a typical modern winger who can bring something new to our offense and expand our coaching opportunities.

He comes to us at an excellent football age, he has really interesting physical and technical attributes,” Kmotrík Jr. Slovan Bratislava CEO said.

Suleiman Camara, who joins Slovan Bratislava from newly promoted Spanish La Liga side Racing Santander on a four-year contract, said he is eager to embrace the next chapter of his career.

“I’m really looking forward to this new challenge. I’m the type of player who likes to play aggressive football, like to run a lot and play with the ball” the Gambian winger said.

The 24-year-old also spoke of his excitement about working under former Ivorian legend Yaya Touré, recalling a memorable childhood encounter.

“When I was a kid, I met Yaya Touré, a football legend, in a TV spot, and now he will be coaching me,” Camara added.
