
Swedish top-flight side Hammarby IF are reportedly close to completing the permanent signing of Gambian forward Suwaibou Kebbeh, with only minor details left to finalise.
Kebbeh’s loan deal is nearing its end, and the club is expected to activate the purchase option following the Superettan playoff against Örebro, according to Swedish outlet FotbollDirekt.
Hammarby, known for investing in young African talent, appear set to secure one of Gambia’s brightest prospects after the player impressed since joining on loan in July.
The transfer is expected to be officially confirmed once the playoffs conclude, with talks between Hammarby and Kebbeh’s Gambian club said to be in their final stages.
Kebbeh has been widely praised for his pace, work rate, and attacking instincts, quickly establishing himself as a fan favourite during his short stint in Sweden.
