At least 28 former employees of Food Safety and Quality Authority have been recalled, Gambiana has learned.

The officials were dismissed following a row with former boss of the institution, Zainab Jallow. Mrs Jallow is now redeployed to the Energy ministry as deputy permanent secretary.

According to sources the recalled officials have been given reinstatement letter and they are expected to start work immediately. 

Mamodou Bah has been appointed to head the institution. Bah had previously worked for GTBoard and MRC.
