Police have arrested 96 people as part of a major crime clampdown in the Greater Banjul Area.
Officers in Banjul, Kanifing and West Coast regions struck as part of Operation Zero Crime – a major drive to tackle crime and drug supply across the country.
“45 people were arrested at Banjul Region including 3 females, 30 arrested at Kanifing Region and 21 arrested at West Coast Region.
“They were arrested in connection with several offences including [being] armed in public, assault causing actual bodily harm, possession of suspected drugs, possession of suspected stolen properties, idle and disorderly manners, attempt to commit felony among others,” a police statement said.
