Veteran Gambian politician Halifa Sallah made a powerful speech at the ACP-EU summit in Strasbourg.

He told the EU summit: “Africans do not want to be part of your [EU] foreign policy. We want to be free to determine for ourselves whether to condemn or not to condemn Russia.”
