Dou Sano, a political adviser to President Adama Barrow, has told Gambiana exclusively that there is no way mayor Ahmad Talib Bensouda can win the May 20 election.
According to him, United Democratic Party transported crowds to accompany Talib Bensouda to file his nomination papers, adding that the ruling National People’s Party is in better position to win the election.
“No one should consider the crowd for now, because ever [big party] pulled a large crowd. They are into transporting people from all over the country to bring them to KMC during the nomination,” he said.
“I don’t see no way that Talib will win this election because his last victory we all voted for him when all of us were UDP members. But now those people who voted for him will not vote for him this time.
“They only talk, the opposition. We used to talk as opposition during Jammeh’s regime. We used to sit under a tree talk untrue things. In fact, if you met us there you would believe that Jammeh was going to be removed in power. That’s opposition,” he added.
