Kelvin Kunta has defeated Flex after a split decision in a hotly contested wrestling showdown held at the Serekunda West mini-stadium.

The two heavyweight Gambian wrestlers left spectators unhappy as they couldn’t do what they were expected to do by exchanging jabs and grabbling to end the match. 

Kelvin Kunta travelled from Italy where he has been competing in mixed martial arts to face his fellow Gambian wrestler, Flex.

Throughout the wrestling match, Kelvin was doing all the actions trying to draw his opponent to either a fight or wrestling.

But Flex who seemed heavier wouldn’t be allowed to be drawn into Kelvin’s tactics.

After several minutes with no proper exchange of jabs and grabbling, the referees decided to give Kelvin the victory a 2-1 scoring.
