Hart FC of Jarra Soma secured a vital 2-1 victory over Real De Banjul thanks to goals from their wunderkid Nfansu Dibba and prolific striker Ismaila Saidykhan to cut the lead at the summit of the Gambia Football Federation to a point.

Nfansu broke the deadlock via a stunning deflected shot in the 26 minutes of the encounter before Ismaila Saidykhan produced a clever finish to give Hart FC a 2-0 lead in the 35 minutes marked.

Bubacarr Touray reduced the deficits just six minutes before the lemon time with a brilliant goal but it wasn’t enough to inspire a Real De Banjul comeback.

Despite the defeat in Jarra Soma, Real De Banjul topped the league with 30 points while Hart FC’s giant-killing strikes catapulted them to a second-placed finish in the first round in their maiden season in the pinnacle of the Gambian top tier with 29 points.

Elsewhere, Bombada FC beat Gambia Armed Forces 2-1 in Brikama. Dawda Darboe’s lone goal was enough for Fortune FC to triumph 1-0 against Gambian Dutch Lions while Steve Biko grabbed a 1-0 win over Falcons.
