Second-tier side Unique Global FC pulled off a stunning comeback to eliminate top-flight giants Brikama United with a 3-1 victory in the FF Cup, booking their place in the quarterfinals.

The underdogs had an early chance to take the lead when they were awarded a penalty, but star forward Abdoulie Danso struck the woodwork but failed to convert. Brikama United capitalised on the miss, as defender Jonathan Correa fired them ahead in the 18th minute.

Despite the early setback, Unique Global responded brilliantly. In a dramatic two-minute spell, they turned the game around with goals from Musa Dem, who curled in a freekick in the 36th minute, and Modou Lamin Bojang, who added a second in the 38th.

Lamin Kanteh sealed the win in the 68th minute with a composed finish, ending Brikama United’s hopes of FF Cup glory.

Elsewhere in the round of 16, Hawks FC eased past Baalor Sarr FC 2-0 to advance, while Hart FC edged out Colley Stars 1-0 in a tightly contested encounter.
