Gambian striker Ali Sowe ended the Turkish Super League season on a high, scoring twice in Çaykur Rizespor’s dominant 5-2 victory over Hatayspor on the final day of the campaign.
Sowe’s brace took his tally to 19 league goals surpassing Vedat Muriqi’s previous club record of 18 goals in a single Super League season for Rizespor. The 29-year-old’s achievement has etched his name into the club’s history books.
He also finishes the season as one of the league’s top scorers, trailing only Victor Osimhen (26 goals), Krzysztof Piątek (21), and Youssef En-Nesyri (20) in the Golden Boot race.
Sowe’s consistent performances have been instrumental in Rizespor’s attacking success this season, and his record-breaking form will no doubt attract interest as the summer transfer window approaches.
Rizespor wrapped up the season with style, and Sowe’s heroics provided a fitting end to a memorable campaign.
