Outspoken Tourism minister Hamat Bah has claimed the world’s most successful presidents were holders of senior secondary school leaving certificates as he defended President Adama Barrow’s lack of university education.
Mr Bah, who has become President Barrow’s staunchest ally and supporter, was speaking to supporters of the president in the second leg of the nationwide Meet-the-People tour.
According to Mr Bah Brazil’s former president, Lula da Silva, who was a shoeshine boy and came from humble beginnings, uplifted 40 million Brazilians from poverty.
He said Barrow has the potential to develop the country and improve the lives of the poor.
“President Barrow will uplift this country from poverty to the richest country,” Mr Bah claimed.
