The Alliance for Patriotic Re-orientation and Construction (APRC) party held their biggest political rally in Brikama yesterday.
The rally was attended by thousands of supporters from around the country and it’s the biggest gathering of the party since Yahya Jammeh, the former president left the country for exile in Equatorial Guinea.
Fabakary Tombong Jatta, the party’s chairperson said: “Looking at all the projects the new government is boasting of they are all designed by Jammeh. He is the one who made The Gambia what it is today.”
“The electricity supply, schools, roads and all other infrastructural development Gambians are enjoying today are Jammeh’s achievement, that’s why Gambians cannot forget him.”
Jatta accused the IEC chairman, Alhaji Momar Njie, of bias and urged him to resign.
“We APRC still believe IEC lost credibility in the past presidential election because the chairman showed us that he doesn’t like us from his action and utterances. In view of this, he must resign in order to restore credibility to the IEC.”
