Hundreds of supporters of the ruling National People’s Party today thronged the Banjul-Brikama highway to welcome President Adama Barrow who returns to Banjul after weeks of touring rural Gambia.

Barrow who is seeking a second term in office will be challenged by five opposition candidates in the December 4 presidential election.

“We need Barrow we don’t need old Pa,” supporters accompaying President Barrow and his enrourage chanted.

“President Adama  Barrow is returning to the state house in December, no doubt about his victory because the entire Gambia is behind him,” a cheerful supporter told Gambiana.
