The Unite Movement for Change has officially launched its activities with inaugural meetings at the Ebunjan Theatre in Kanifing Layout.

Talib Ahmed Bensouda outlined the Movement’s vision of integrity, transformation and inclusion, describing it as a people-led initiative that aims to evolve into a truly national political party.

Delegates discussed key themes including communication, mobilisation, party structures and constitution building. Five committees were also formed to drive the Movement’s work.

Organisers stressed that the Movement is open to all Gambians and belongs to every citizen who shares its values of integrity, inclusion and progress.

The initiative has also drawn several former senior members of the United Democratic Party, who left the opposition party after a bitter leadership struggle.
