Dozens of protesting youths have been taken into custody at the Anti-Crime Headquarters in Banjulinding.

They were arrested for staging a peaceful protest demanding the full release of buyers of assets linked to former President Yahya Jammeh.

This comes after police denied them a permit to protest. The group had earlier vowed to proceed with their protest, citing their constitutional right to peaceful assembly.
