The Brikama Sports Committee has received seven new floodlights valued at D385,000 ahead of the “H.E. President Adama Barrow Ramadan Night Football Tournament.”
The donation, made by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, was officially received by the Committee’s President, Yusupha Ceesay.

The lights will be installed at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium to address last year’s lighting challenges and ensure smooth night matches throughout the tournament.
Bakary Y. Badjie, the Minister of Youth and Sports, reaffirmed government’s commitment to youth sports development and pledged to attend the opening ceremony.
“Brikama football deserves the best facilities, and these floodlights will allow the youth to showcase their talent safely and proudly,” he said.
The Acting Executive Director of the National Sports Council, Mahmoud Lamin Jawla, lauded the initiative, highlighting the importance of investing in sports as a tool for youth empowerment.
