Brikama United produced a sensational second-half comeback to defeat The Gambia Dutch Lions 5–4 in a thrilling encounter at the Box Bar Mini Stadium.

The hosts made a dream start when Lamin Touray gave Brikama United the lead in the 3rd minute, finishing off a well-timed cross from Baboucarr Sallah.

However, The Gambia Dutch Lions responded emphatically, with Ibrahima Diallo turning the game on its head by scoring a first-half hat-trick, while Gibril Sima added another to send the visitors into the half-time break with a commanding 4–1 lead.

Facing a daunting deficit, Brikama United showed great character after the restart. Bubacarr Kebbeh sparked the revival in the 64th minute with a low-driven free-kick before Dembo Danjo headed in his debut goal four minutes later from another Kebbeh delivery.

The momentum shifted further when the Dutch Lions were reduced to ten men following the dismissal of Gibril Dumbuya for a second bookable offence. Brikama United capitalised immediately, as Jonathan Correa rose highest to head home Kebbeh’s corner in the 76th minute to level the score.

Just a minute later, Bubacarr Kebbeh completed the turnaround in spectacular fashion, firing a long-range screamer from outside the box to seal a memorable 5–4 victory for Brikama United.

The result marks one of the most dramatic comebacks of the season and underlines Brikama United’s fighting spirit and attacking quality.
