Brikama United secured a convincing 3-1 victory over Hart FC in Week 14 of the Gambia Football Federation Division One at the Box Bar Mini Stadium on Sunday.

The home side made a bright start and took the lead as early as the seventh minute when Baboucarr Sallah’s dangerous inswinging cross forced the Hart FC goalkeeper into an own goal.

Brikama United continued to dominate possession and create chances. In the 31st minute, Lamin Touray doubled the advantage after shrugging off his marker before curling a low drive into the net from an acute angle.

The hosts carried their momentum into the second half and made it 3-0 in the 56th minute following a well-worked team move. Ebrima Sawaneh spotted the run of Alieu Jammeh inside the box, Jammeh squared the ball to Touray, who beat his defender at the near post to complete his brace.

Hart FC pulled one back in the 65th minute through Nfansu, but Brikama United remained in control to see out the match and claim all three points.
