Chelsea star Nicolas Jackson brought smiles and inspiration to students at Maladah Upper and Senior Secondary School with a surprise visit and generous donations aimed at improving their learning environment.

The visit, facilitated by the Gomez family and inspired by Jackson’s father, saw the Gambian-born footballer donate D60,000, a water tank, footballs, jerseys, and exercise books to the school.

Addressing the students, Jackson shared what motivates his philanthropic efforts:

“The thing that motivates me more is my family and my friends. I want to help the people because I know Africa is very difficult. That has been my aim since I was young.”

He also used the occasion to encourage students to pursue their dreams despite life’s obstacles.

“It is not an easy task to go to Europe and play football and be at the top level, but I want to assure you guys that if you work hard and believe in yourself, anything is possible.”

Jackson pledged to return and remain engaged with the school and surrounding community, a promise that has sparked hope among young people who now see him as living proof that great success can start from humble beginnings.
