The 73-year-old leader of United Democratic Party, Lawyer Ousainou Darboe, has casted his vote at Pipeline and congratulated Gambians for the massive turnout.

Darboe is contesting fifth presidential election and this time round he is seeking to unseat Adama Barrow, his onetime progeny and political godson.

He has already confirmed that he would concede defeat if he was to lose in a free and fair election.

“I am waded to the Constitution of the Republic of The Gambia and once the results are declared and is a free and fair contest, I have no choice but to accept it and even if I do not accept it, my only recourse is to go to courts, that’s my only recourse,” Darboe said this week.
