Eighteen political party heads including rejected presidential aspirants were spotted in a huge crowd accompanying President Adama Barrow and his entourage to Banjul.

Barrow has been touring the provinces to seek votes for his bid for reelection in December.

Five opposition figures including his former political godfather Lawyer Ousainou Darboe are seeking to unseat him in power in December.

Barrow’s cheering supporters could be heard chanting that:”we need Barrow, we don’t need old Pa,” as they blared their car horns while driving along the Banjul main highway.

“I come all the way from Kaur to Kombo and this is about President Barrow. He is our President today and forever,” a lady told Gambiana.

“The crowd I have seen here today is a rare one,” another one said.
