Essa Mbye Faal has outlined his plan to unseat President Adama Barrow on December 4 as he submitted his nomination papers to the IEC.
The lawyer turned politician has accused the Barrow government of trying to derail his nomination with “undemocratic actions “to disqualify him from running in next month presidential election.
“It’s another historic day because I have never seen such low-play in politics of this country, I have never thought I will witness a day in which democracy would be shackled by a very unpopular government wanting to bury, but the Gambian youths, young men and women have refused, we say no,” the former TRRC lead counsel said.
“And come December 4, we will bring you [Adama Barrow] down and we will ensure change in this country, come December 4 would be the beginning of the new and the real done for this country.
“You [Barrow] think you have spoiled our nomination? No! You may have dampened, here today, but you have strengthened our result to make sure that come December 4 we will change this government and start rebuilding this country,” he added.
