Essa Faal, former TRRC lead counsel and politician, has promised a special gift to any Scorpions player who scores or assists against Tunisia in today’s final group match in Limbe, Cameroon. 

The Gambia national team who have already qualified to the round of 16 after collecting four points against Mauritania and Mali, will take on Tunisia at 7pm. 

“I have a surprise, anyone who scores a goal or you create a goal, you will get a special gift from me, Essa Mbye Faal. I said this and the whole world hear me,” the lawyer-turned-politician said.

He called on Gambians to join in their thousands to support the team both at home and abroad and offer their prayers.

“We are all behind the Scorpions, ready to support them. Let’s all support and pray for them to qualify to the next round,” he added.
