Essa Faal has questioned how President Adama Barrow was able to accumulate his 270 million dalasi wealth since assuming power five years ago.
“There was someone [Barrow] who stood and said he has 20 million and do you believe in him? Because that’s what he said he said he has 20 million but do you today know how much he has in his account 270 million dalasi, that’s what I heard them say,” presidential candidate and former lead counsel of TRRC told a rally in Numuyel.
“Even if it was 200 million, he has doubled that amount ten times. And what of you people of Numuyel you are still left in poverty and there is only one person who is progressing in this country. Why would you people of Numuyel build a hospital for yourself and there is a government in this country,” he added.
“Every sector in this country is inundated with problems and now there is a fuel shortage in the country. Why should there be a fuel shortage in the country under a serious government.
“Do you think if this government is serious, they will sit and wait until fuel scarcity hits the country? This situation is very sad and pathetic,” Faal said.
“I was told the people of Numuyel are funding their health clinic and the bridge. So, I ask when the government you voted in office five years ago is coming to visit you?
“Do they really care about your welfare and it looks like the government forgot about your welfare? If they come to you now, they are coming for your votes which you shouldn’t allow to happen anymore.
“So, it means this government has not done anything in this country, and if you bring in a government, it means you signed a contract with that government who are expected to bring back development to you, the electorate,” he added.
