The Gambia Government has bought 50 tractors for farmers in preparation for the raining season.

President Adama Barrow is expected to preside over the handing over ceremony of the tractors on 7 June.

“The Government of The Gambia through the Ministry of Agriculture has procured 50 tractors to support Gambian farmers,” a statement from the Ministry of Agriculture said.

According to the statement, the tractors will farmers and the farming sector to increase crop production and productivity in the country.
