Gambian U-20 winger Salifu Colley has joined South African club Stellenbosch FC on a three-year deal.

The young and highly rated winger, who is fondly called “Bayano”, was a key member of the Young Scorpions squad at both the Afcon and FIFA U-20 tournaments in Egypt and Argentina respectively where the team reached the round of 16 knockout stage, losing to eventual champions Uruguay.

“Salifu is a young and talented footballer who has done exceptionally well last year, having excelled at the U-20 World Cup and U-20 AFCON,” Stellenbosch head coach Steve Barker said.

Coach Barker added that Colley has the potential to help the team.

“He’s a very exciting talent and we are very pleased to have brought him on board and for the opportunity to help him develop and reach his full potential,” he said.

Salifu Colley’s contract will run to the summer of 2026 as announced by Real De Banjul.
