Gambian international Abdoulie Ceesay made a strong impression in FC St Pauli’s 4-1 preseason win over Danish side Silkeborg, opening the scoring with a superb finish and delivering a standout performance throughout the match.

Ceesay, who plays as a central midfielder, was instrumental in setting the tempo for the German side, combining composure, vision, and work rate as St Pauli dominated the friendly fixture.

The 23-year-old is a rising star in Gambian football, having earned his first senior national team call-up in 2022. Known for his technical ability and tactical awareness, Ceesay joined St Pauli’s senior squad after progressing through the club’s youth ranks, and is increasingly becoming a key figure in their midfield setup.
