Gambian striker Musa Barrow has insisted an attempt to stay at Bologna amid keen interest in him by Saudi-Pro League Al-Taawoun.

Bologna is reported to have launched a U-turn attempt to make the striker stay. But the Gambian national refused the attempt and said he seeks to leave for good because he doesn’t feel motivated anymore at the club.

“I want to say goodbye to Bologna. I no longer feel motivated to play here. I don’t want to continue playing in Italy. I am not comfortable with this coach.

“I want to thank the club, in particular Fenucci and Sartori and president Saputo, as well as my teammates, whom I will always carry in my heart, and the wonderful Rossoblu fans,” a renowned football writer, Gianluca Di Mario quoted the Gambian striker Musa Barrow.

Al-Taawoun are ready to sign the striker on a three-year deal and commit to pay 15 million euros as demanded by Bologna.

The 24-year-old striker joined Bologna from Atalanta on 17 January 2020 on loan.
