Dr Ismaila Ceesay, minister of information was confronted by a US-based Gambian man in the streets of New York.

Dr Ceesay is among Gambian delegate attending the 2024 UN General Assembly. 

However, a viral video widely shared online shows m the senior government official being confronted in one of New York City’s busy streets. 

The displeased US-based Gambian man is heard in the video castigating Dr Ceesay and Barrow government. 

“Mr man you know Barrow is not good. You can’t reject me like that, you need to say something. You recently joined Adama Barrow and rejected him before. Gambians are dying, Gambians are in a total nonsense,” he is heard saying in the video.

At one point, Dr Ceesay is seen talking to a US security officer standing on the roadside asking him to intervene – but the confronter added “no this guy is talking the truth. You shouldn’t reject the camera because corruption and nepotism is what you guys are doing there and that’s not right.”
