The leader of Gambia Democratic Congress has taken a swipe at President Barrow as he blamed corruption and bad governance for the current hardship faced by Gambians.

Mamma Kandeh, who was speaking at GDC’s second national congress in Farafenni at the weekend, said the country’s underdevelopment and current economic hardship are caused by bad governance.

“Our nation continues to face unprecedented challenges rooted in bad governance, corruption as well as a continued marginalisation of the masses especially women and youths from the national scheme of events.

“It is evident that our people are currently facing uncertain times which makes it interesting that the leadership has failed to abide by the people’s will,” Mr Kandeh said.
