Gambia Democratic Congress has announced that it will support the opposition United Democratic Party with their election court challenge.

United Democratic Party has filed a petition at the Supreme Court in Banjul asking it to overturn Barrow’s election victory. 

The opposition party claimed that Barrow’s National People’s Party bribed voters with cooking utensils and that non-Gambians voted.

Speaking to Gambiana about whether GDC is joining UDP in their court battle, Amadou Kah, deputy party leader of Gambia Democratic Congress said:  “We are planning to do is support the UDP. We’ve conducted our own investigation and we will support the UDP with our findings and evidences. But we are not going to the court.”
