Fatou Samba, a journalist with Gambian Talents Promotion, has died at the age of 33, her employer has confirmed.

She is remembered by colleagues as a humble, kind, and dedicated professional who made a lasting impact through her work.

“Fatou was more than just a team member, she was family,” the organisation said in a statement.

“A kind, humble, and dedicated soul, Fatou touched the lives of everyone she worked with.

“Her sudden departure has left a deep wound in our hearts and a void that will be hard to fill.”

Tributes have poured in on social media, with many Gambians, including fellow journalists, expressing their condolences and sharing memories of her work.
