The ongoing case involving Kanimang Banjo before Principal Magistrate Krubally has been temporarily put on hold due to a power outage at the court.

The proceedings were interrupted after the magistrate explained that he uses his laptop to record the evidence and testimonies of witnesses.

“Unfortunately, my laptop just went off and there is no electricity. I’m afraid we have to wait for NAWEC or adjourn the case,” the magistrate said.

Following the interruption, the magistrate returned to his chambers while the victims and prosecutors remained outside the courtroom, waiting to see whether electricity would be restored by NAWEC so that the proceedings could continue.

The court is yet to determine whether the case will resume once power is restored or whether it will be adjourned to another date.
