The National Assembly will debate the long-delayed pension bill next Monday (21 February).

The bill is meant to overhaul the current pension system and replace the archaic 1950 Pension Act.

Vice President Dr Isatou Touray will preside over the third reading of the pension bill.

House Speaker Mariam Jack-Denton urged the Office of the Vice-President “to comply with Standing Order Clause 72 (20) to ensure that the amended version of the bill is printed and circulated to members in advance.
