Mingdaw Upper Basic School has emerged as the champion of the first edition of the Karamo Njie (Charles) Foundation 2025 Inter-School Girls Athletics Track Competition, held at the Farato main field.
As the favourite to win, Mingdaw lived up to expectations by securing 4 Gold Medals, 2 Silver Medals, and 1 Bronze Medal, topping the overall Medal Table.

Sotokoi Daru claimed a strong second place, outperforming Busumbala Farato by earning 2 Gold Medals, 1 Silver Medal, and 1 Bronze Medal.

Busumbala Farato narrowly missed second place, winning only 1 Gold Medal, which Mama Marena earned by dominating the 100m race with remarkable speed. They also secured the highest number of Silver Medals (4) and managed to win 2 Bronze Medals.

Yalding Upper Basic School finished the competition with 1 Silver Medal and 1 Bronze Medal.

As the winning school, Mingdaw took home a giant trophy and a cash prize of D15,000. Sotokoi Daru received D10,000, Busumbala Farato earned D5,000, and Yalding was awarded D2,500.

Each participating student had the opportunity to compete in only one of the seven races. All student-athletes went home with a cash prize of D500, a certificate, and those who finished on the podium received medals.
