The outgoing British High Commissioner to The Gambia, David Belgrove, has assured UK’s support to Gambia’s tourism and agriculture, as he bid farewell to President Adama Barrow at State House.
Speaking at State House, Belgrove thanked President Barrow and the Gambian people for the warm hospitality during his time in The Gambia.
He also congratulated the President and his government for the progress in consolidating democracy in the Gambia, the Constitutional reform, and the encouraging implementation of most TRRC recommendations.
“The friendly cooperation between the two countries will continue with his successor and that his government will continue to support the expansion of tourism, agriculture and industry, especially with the improved infrastructure development,” he said.
Belgrove, who was made High Commissioner to The Gambia in 2017, has ended his tour of duty after six years in the role.
