Have you seen the White Horse
In the middle of a grey flag
Happily drunk in power
Having drank Power Malt
Lost and drunken
He wrote a pamphlet for the country
A secondary school graduate who rides bicycles
He now drives tricycles
This poem sets the valley at Mansa Konko ablaze
This fact pleases the heart
And the echo travels down the OIC road
“You do not drive a horse to the river and force it to drink water”
But what do you know about children
Riding on a death horse in Mankamang Kunda?
I’m sorry little children; I cannot be your role model
I drink, I smoke, I gamble, and I smuggle drugs
I sin, I sing, I sung, and I fuck like a dog
Only once had I said yes
Yes, was when I sold my soul
I’m what you hear in the news
What you heard is what you’re hearing
What’s wrong with your bearing?
I got no time for the in-fights and out-fights
Put smoke in your wind pipe
I’m in Paris eating goose and turkey, venison and beef, oysters and lobsters, plus plenty of whiskey and biscuits
Me and Nicki Minaj be dating and Jesus Christ is hating
What y’all palm wine tappers complaining?
Go and ask Lenrie Peters what he can that I can’t do
Put a knife in his trencher and strangle his Adam’s apple
Y’all Android users should go get an Apple
I spend my life with the poor people’s children
Because the poor people’s children understand our state of poverty
Let’s attend the burial in 2026
Funeral of laughing-stocks
The death of the White Horse
Get your spade and shovels ready
The road will be rough and heavy
The youth will participate
Coalitions parties will be formed
But, the white horse, is dead.
