Abdoulie Sanyang, Inspector General of Police with a high-powered delegation, has commenced a countrywide tour to security installations.
The police chief and his delegation will visit security installations including police stations, military and border posts across the country.
According to the police communication department, the police chief and his team started the tour in the North Bank Region.
“The IGP will continue to the CRR, URR, LRR and finally to the West Coast and the Greater Banjul Area.
“The aim of the tour is to enable the office of the IGP access first hand information on the welfare and working conditions of personnel under his command, as well as interact with other state security units and also members of the community,” the police said.
“The tour is also expected to create an opportunity to further strengthen community police relations, which remains a top priority of the police command.
“Details and engagements will be published as the tour progresses.”
