Ahmad Mai Fatty, leader of opposition Gambia Moral Congress, campaign vehicle has caught fire in Basse has he heads to National People’s Party campaign.

The party’s regional chairman in Upper River Region, Ousman Jallow, told Gambiana none of the car’s occupants including Mai Ahmad Fatty were hurt.

He said this happened on Thursday evening. 

“The cause of the fire was fuel spark that overflowed onto the Honourable’s campaign vehicle at a mechanic auto repair park and then caught fire,” he said. 

“The Honourable was on his way to join the NPP campaign trail with a powerful GMC Delegation to support NPP candidate for Chairman Basse Area Council, Muhamed Cessay. Hon. Fatty, including members of his Delegation were not hurt,” he added.
