The Gambia’s closet neigbour, Senegal, has offered 20,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine in an act of solidarity.
It comes barely a week after Senegal received 200,000 doses of the Chinese coronavirus vaccine – Sinopharm.
Similar support has been extended to Guinea-Bissau, according to Senegalese President Macky Sall.
“We have decided to make 10% of this vaccine available to two neighboring countries, or 20,000 doses for the Gambia and Guinea Bissau as a form of African solidarity,”President Macky Sall while speaking through a video conference of the 20th edition of the International Economic Forum on Africa.
