The management of Serrekunda General Hospital has been slammed by patients for an apparent lack of social distancing measures at the hospital.
Patients and their relatives at the Outpatients Unit were seen huddle together without the implementation of any apparent social distancing measures.
A patient who preferred anonymity sent Gambiana these photos today from the Serrekunda General Hospital.
“These were the scenes at the hospital (today). I think you need to share on your medium,” the patient said.
“See why people have lost confidence and hope in our public health system. Healthcare and Education must be given priority in this country.”
Gambiana has contacted the management of Serrekunda General Hospital for comment.
Health officials have been reiterating calls for people to stay home and exercise social distancing when out in public.
The country now has 17 coronavirus cases with 8 cases classified as active.
