One of President Adama Barrow’s drivers, Jerreh Fatty, has died after a brief illness.
The president shared the tragic news on his Facebook page.
He wrote: “I have received devastating news that my friend and colleague, Jerreh Fatty passed away. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, co-workers and the entire Fatty Family in Kiang and Sukuta Nema.
“Jerreh would be remembered for his role in the political struggles to advance democracy in the country. He died in active service after an illness. Jerreh Fatty was admired by many because of his dedication and gentle personality.
“I pray that Allah grant his soul with mercy and eternal peace, he prayed. He has been survived by three wives and children.”
