Albert Pierrera, a 19-year-old stunt driver, has been charged and remanded at the Mile Two Prison over the death of Ousainou Kebbeh, 19, who died while drifting in Manjai Kunda.

Kebbeh sustained fatal head injury and later died in hospital.

The suspect was drifting in a BMW without a number plate when he veered off the road, striking the deceased and three others.

“The driver was subsequently charged with ‘Dangerous Driving Causing Death’ contrary to Section 49A of the Motor Traffic (Amendment) Act 2013.

“The driver was arraigned before the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court today, where he was remanded, and the case was referred to the High Court for further proceedings,” the police said.

The injured victims have been discharged from the hospital.
