The Gambian Minister for Tourism and Culture has told the opposition to “come and join the President Adama Barrow bus before it gets full”, adding that the president will win the 2021 presidential election with a landslide victory. 

Hamat Bah is one of Barrow’s state ministers who pledged absolute loyalty to the president. He was speaking at a political rally in Essau as Barrow commenced his Meet-the-People tour.

“I have told you in 2018 that Adama Barrow will not leave office in 3 years, he will serve 5 years but some people disputed me and went to form an organisation called 3 years ‘jotna’,” Mr Bah told the rally.

“I told them Adama Barrow is here to serve 5 years and I am telling you another word: 2021 Adama Barrow will win [next presidential election] victory that has never happened in the history of The Gambia,” he added.
