A US-based Gambian has dismissed the United Democratic Party’s (UDP) claim of raising over $111,000 during their Seattle convention fundraising.
Ebou Bah, a former UDP member, challenged the party to prove the figure with a credible bank statement, saying the amount raised was significantly lower.

“The United Democratic Party didn’t raise more than $111,000 during their Seattle fundraising. I challenge them to prove me wrong with a bank statement, and I would be happy to donate thousands of dollars to them,” he said on his Facebook live streaming.
He alleged that no more than $20,000 was raised and that most contributions were pledges, which he said were not guaranteed
He further claimed that fewer than 200 people attended the fundraising, adding that he had “spies” who were feeding him information about what transpired at the event.
The United Democratic Party has yet to respond to his claims.
